Awake!

This morning they took Tyler off his muscle relaxer medication and let him wake up. He was only up for a little while, as they put him under again so they could close up his chest. He did wake up from that, but was pretty groggy. You can see that he has a much smaller bandage on his chest.

The doctor's say he is "above the curve," despite the lower lobe of his left lung being partially collapsed. We are very thrilled with his progress.

P.S. - Anyone else watching this Syracuse - UCONN game? They are about to start their SIXTH overtime! (Update: Syracuse won in the 6th OT)

Mom - on the blanket you are making, you should embroider "Chicks dig scars." :)

wow - he looks much better! By the way, I called my boyfriend Dirk and told him about Tyler - in a program similar to the "make a wish" foundation, he said he would "let the Lakers take it on Sunday" (his words, not mine).
